Color Week Continues - Gorgeous Greens

I aleady know I probably won't be able to continue my "door" theme- within-a-theme, but I think of doors as a point of entry, a beginning- in this case to color exploration. This lovely scene suggests a quiet summer's day; a cozy spot.

I love the color and texture in this photo - the rich green of the leaves against the brick.

Just plain fun, the street fair we attended last weekend gave me this colorful photo. I love taking pictures of interesting people doing interesting things. I'm also getting hooked on graffitti art.

Supposedly a photo of my green front porch, this little caterpillar decided he wanted to be highlighted as well. He may actually reappear on another color day...we will see.

I'm looking forward to browsing everyone's Green sites today, with a cup of green tea at my side. As a predominant color in nature, it should also bring us a soothing day!

Enjoy!

Hmmm - perhaps we need a door day?! Love the graffiti and your little fuzzy friend. (I think I know what day he will reappear!)

Oh how cute is that caterpillar?! He reminds me of Dougal in The Magic Roundabout.

Beautiful shots of green today! I'm loving how everyone interprets the colour so differently and the glimpses into their lives that it gives. Great stuff! :)

Thank you for stopping by. I think this may be what I like best about a themed week, meeting everyone a bit more personally.

A "door day" would be fun, wouldn't it? But it's much more difficult than I originally thought it would be to find something which stands out to my photographic eye. I looked at my own entry today...boring. Time to decorate?!

ps. I think it was hanging in the air yesterday. I had a funny (not in a nice way) day too. It's good to hear I wasn't alone.

Thank you so much for stopping by my blog. It means a lot to me.

I really like the way you have captured the graffiti. It is powerful and emotive.

100 Blessings

It's funny how a project takes on a life of its own. I started out making a list of things I'd like to take pictures of - piles of M&M's, rocks on the beach, license plates hanging on an old garage door. Then I decided it would be interesting to find 100 items about "me," celebrating my 100th post with items about me/my life/etc. This way I could tie my compulsion to blog in to my theme. So, I started THAT list. And when I was done I decided all the things I was collecting, ideas as well as items, were actually blessings. Things about my life that make me who I am and allow me to keep striving to be the best I can be at what I do. Each activity isn't necessarily a blessing, it's my ability to do the things I love to do, and be with the people I love to be with. This became an introspective activity, and that's probably where I am in my life right now. If the shoe fits..., so to speak. So, welcome to my 100th Post ! Without everyone I've met thr

Hidden Gem

Thank you, Georgia , for helping me focus on the hidden gem, the place we love to go and not be found. Not far from home...it IS home. We call it "out back," and once there we are transported to a private place, not visible from houses or road or the casual observer. I couldn't choose just one photo, so I created a collage of this special part of our world. Enjoy.
