Sweet Finds

In keeping with the neglected monthly theme of "sweet", I need to share one of yesterday's finds. We took a road trip to a lovely town on Lake Huron, spending the day walking the pier, eating ice cream, and trying to stay warm. The sun was out and it was a beautiful day, other than the cold wind:). Oh well. As we walked the pier we came upon three families of Mallard ducks, all a bit territorial, all trying to share the same waterfront. This family in particular caught our eye. Enjoy!

Awww! I saw some of these this weekend, but they were goslings (Canada geese, to be exact) and a bit older. Very sweet!

Aww, that's so sweet. I've been watching our ducks here in Minnesota for a trail of little ones, but no luck yet. Hopefully we'll see some babies soon.

Ducklings are some of my very favourite things - SO cute! We have some ducks on our canals but so far have only seen gosling, no ducklings. I wonder why? Maybe their season is a bit later. I hope so. :o)

Happy Week- being home and loving photography

Roamin Meets the GPS- Stories from the Road Lisa, my favorite Curious Girl , created a wonderful idea for a week of "happy" posts. Share those things which make you happy, bring joy to your life, and generally fill you with happy thoughts (I do love the movie Hook , with Robin Williams). We are just returned from our fabulous 23-day, 5600 mile, 10 state, 4 time-zone adventure, and I am filled with happy thoughts today.
