Pink and Red Day

This entire entryway deserved attention today, not just the door. Isn't this Victorian style inviting? I love how the lilac bush drapes over the left, creating a cozy area within. This was an easy find:).
This red panel was actually part of an old postal box. The entire box was interesting, but the panel needed it's own recognition.

Another find from the street fair, I don't normally look at pink things. I'm just not a "pink" girl, I guess. But the glass caught the light and I just knew it would be just right for color week.

The irresistable pink frog drew my eye, and the fact that she was reading just made my day! Let's promote literacy in any way we can. I was even thinking this would be a great writing prompt for kids.

This is such a typical picture at my house. Meesha is a "helper." Especially when flowers are involved. The only flowers she hasn't dug up or dragged around the house have been the lilacs I've cut for the table. There must be a toxin she recognizes. Here I had been toying with a lovely pink idea, when she foiled my efforts. And sometimes those make the best photos!

Have a color-filled day!

I love that red panel from the postal box. The color is just gorgeous.

As for helpers, I totally understand. It's a rare moment when I take photos and none of my four helpers are in the images (unless they're contained somehow). I love that shot of Meesha and the flowers. Reminds me of my Dollie and all her "help", lol.

100 Blessings

It's funny how a project takes on a life of its own. I started out making a list of things I'd like to take pictures of - piles of M&M's, rocks on the beach, license plates hanging on an old garage door. Then I decided it would be interesting to find 100 items about "me," celebrating my 100th post with items about me/my life/etc. This way I could tie my compulsion to blog in to my theme. So, I started THAT list. And when I was done I decided all the things I was collecting, ideas as well as items, were actually blessings. Things about my life that make me who I am and allow me to keep striving to be the best I can be at what I do. Each activity isn't necessarily a blessing, it's my ability to do the things I love to do, and be with the people I love to be with. This became an introspective activity, and that's probably where I am in my life right now. If the shoe fits..., so to speak. So, welcome to my 100th Post ! Without everyone I've met thr

Hidden Gem

Thank you, Georgia , for helping me focus on the hidden gem, the place we love to go and not be found. Not far from home...it IS home. We call it "out back," and once there we are transported to a private place, not visible from houses or road or the casual observer. I couldn't choose just one photo, so I created a collage of this special part of our world. Enjoy.
