Our Back Yard

Welcome to the view from our great room. I love to get up in the morning, get my coffee, and soak in the view. I'm trying to see in black and white these days, so here are some photos which started as color images, then were transformed in Elements. May all your views give you peace, as ours do.

really beautiful shots, sandy. i just saw a deer yesterday in a really beautiful area—a very plush green place with lots of trees. i wished i had my camera ready, but i did not.

Lucky girl! How beautiful! I bet its so inspiring to be surrounded by beauty like that! These photos are gorgeous.

I'm glad you asked about the lens, Dagmar. I really need to start adding some more technical information. The shots were taken with a wide-angle lens, actually. It's fairly new and I've been trying it out on different things. I do like how these turned out. I think I'll do a post next week on lenses.

I love the lighting on this one, Sandy.

The composition is pretty much spot on but I think I would have picked out the stray couple of seeds obscuring the radiating pattern of the rest.
