We went to the Field Museum today and had a marvelous time. The 2 year old is fascinated by dinosaurs, so had lots to look at, and the adults wanted to go to the pirate exhibit. Very well done. We rounded the corner at one point, and this floor to ceiling photographic display appeared in all its colorful glory. I was mesmerized, and so was the little one. We looked at all the pictures, talking about them, enjoying them, and being surrounded by them. They were lit from behind, so everything glowed. It was fabulous....most sensory experience of the trip. If you don't count all the delicious meals we've had in the last few days!
Thank you, Georgia , for helping me focus on the hidden gem, the place we love to go and not be found. Not far from home...it IS home. We call it "out back," and once there we are transported to a private place, not visible from houses or road or the casual observer. I couldn't choose just one photo, so I created a collage of this special part of our world. Enjoy.
